Description:- P Warburton was one of Lowry's lecturers at Salford School of Art and most likely was created there.
Lowry and Warburton remained good friends up until Warburton's death.

There is some doubt as to the date of this drawing as it is more consistent with Lowry's work of the 1930s,
it has also been suggested that the figures have been added in later.

Signed on the bottom left by Lowry 1922. It is also inscribed on the rear Racing Special 1922.

There is an open door behind them with just a pair of feet visible.

Most of the right hand side of the street was demolished in 1977. Very similar to A Lancashire Village 1935.
The difference is Lowry drew a house in front of the church.
